Planning
The customer and SMC will meet to discuss the customer’s needs. If agreed, SMC will review the project and produce a preliminary set of drawings for the customer at a nominal fee. An approximation of the cost to complete the project will be given at this time. If the drawings and the approximate cost are acceptable, the second phase of planning begins. Detailed scaled plans will be drawn at a fee agreed upon by both parties and exact costs will be presented to the client in a contract.

Budget
Your remodeling plans and needs will be carefully considered during the estimating process. There will be no additional costs to you for the original plan once the contract has been signed. If unforeseen costs arise, you will not be charged for them. However, if you request additional work be added to the contracted plans, you will be charged our cost plus 21%.

Supervision
Each project is overseen by a SMC Project Manager. The Project Manager will make sure everything is done properly. Once work begins, your project manager will visit your home daily to answer any questions, to instruct our staff, and to ensure that the work progresses as planned.

Time
Your project will be completed on time and faster than most because of our fast tract technique, which is also used in new construction. This technique utilizes many crews concurrently, each specializing in their particular fields, not a “jack-of-all-trades” performing each task one after another. By using several expert crews, the workmanship is better and a faster completion time is attained because we are able to coordinate more than one crew in your home at a time and their expertise enables them to complete their tasks more efficiently.

Construction Technique & Quality Materials
By using materials other contractors might not use unless specified by the homeowner or designer, we help you to have a comfortable and more energy efficient home. We use cutting edge designed materials resulting in a superior product that is both efficient and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, we caulk and putty before painting, using almost half of our estimated paint budget for this careful preparation. Master electricians and master plumbers perform the work in their areas of expertise. By not compromising our standards or cutting corners, your project will be exceptional and remain so for years to come. When, or if, the time comes to sell your home, prospective buyers will appreciate this top-quality.
